Heavy rain lashed parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region, including Gurugram and Faridabad in Haryana alongside Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday afternoon, bringing a noticeable dip in temperatures.

Following the sudden downpour, the India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for several areas. According to the nowcast published on the official IMD website at approximately 1 pm, all districts across Delhi were placed under the orange warning for rain and active thunderstorms until at least 3 pm.

The adverse weather conditions impacted daily movement across the metropolitan region, with residents navigating through wet streets and diminished visibility near prominent landmarks like India Gate during the afternoon hours. Authorities advised caution as the weather system continued to affect the capital and its neighbouring districts.
