A search is currently underway for 43-year-old Kimberly McGrath, more than four days after her vehicle was discovered crashed and abandoned in Huron Township, Michigan. The missing woman reportedly disappeared after a homeowner found her car wrecked on their property.

On Saturday, October 10, the Huron Township Police Department received a report regarding a vehicle that had crashed into the backyard of a home situated on the 18000 block of Hannan Road. The resident who reported the incident noted that the vehicle's occupant was nowhere to be found.

Responding officers arrived at the location and determined that the automobile belonged to Kimberly Noel McGrath, a resident of Southgate. Authorities were unable to find her at the crash site or at her home, prompting her family to file a missing persons report after not hearing from her since the previous day. According to officials, her final known contact with relatives occurred on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Since the disappearance, multiple agencies have launched extensive search operations in the vicinity where the car was discovered near the Huron River. The Huron Township Fire Department carried out a water search in accessible sections of the river, while police departments from Huron Township and Metroparks, alongside the Michigan State Police, deployed aerial drones and K9 ground units. Despite these comprehensive efforts, the driver has not yet been located.

McGrath is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.

Law enforcement officials have expressed serious concern regarding her well-being following the accident. Authorities and family members are urging local residents to inspect outbuildings, garages, and any areas on their properties where an injured person might attempt to find shelter. Anyone possessing information regarding McGrath and her current whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Huron Township Police Department directly.
