Cockroach Janta Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were remanded to five days of judicial custody and admitted to Delhi's Tihar Jail following a court order citing peace bond violations and trespassing into Jantar Mantar, which has been denotified as a protest site. Police stated that another party member, Ajinkya Shinde, was bound down to maintain peace for six months and released on a personal bond alongside a surety of 5,000 rupees.

In the official order, Special Executive Magistrate Mahesh Kumar Meena detailed that the accused individuals had previously executed bonds to maintain peace and good behavior for a year. However, authorities found that they breached these commitments shortly after their release by issuing online protest calls and attempting to mobilize crowds at Jantar Mantar. The magistrate ordered that notices be issued under Section 130 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, leading to the five-day judicial remand.

According to the proceedings, law enforcement agencies had received intelligence inputs indicating that CJP workers might attempt to create disruptions at Jantar Mantar. Security personnel reported that the leaders and accompanying individuals jumped from the premises of a nearby office building to reach the restricted site, where they began raising slogans before being brought under control. Investigators also noted that prior unauthorized gatherings and social media mobilization efforts had prompted police deployments at the airport earlier in the week.

During the initial apprehension, preventive actions had been initiated against the respondents under the BNSS, after which they initially signed surety bonds. The magistrate's order noted that despite these undertakings, the leaders immediately resumed social media campaigns and press conferences urging the public to gather at the restricted location. Reviewing video evidence submitted by investigators, the magistrate concluded that the respondents exhibited aggressive behavior and remained unyielding in their defiance.

Finding that sufficient grounds existed to establish a breach of their prior undertakings, the magistrate determined that judicial custody was necessary to preserve public tranquility. A third individual linked to the initial airport confrontation was dealt with separately under local administrative procedures, while Das and Ranka were transferred to secure custody pending further legal developments.
