At least 15 Cockroach Janta Party members travelling from Maharashtra to Delhi for the upcoming October 10 demonstration at Jantar Mantar were intercepted and detained at the Itarsi railway station in Madhya Pradesh.
Additional members of the CJP and various other activists who were planning to participate in the protest have reportedly been taken into custody or detained at multiple alternative locations.
The widespread detentions have sparked significant discussion and raised questions regarding the preemptive police actions being implemented ahead of the scheduled demonstration in the capital.
