Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has continued to honor the late Nana Patekar by sharing a series of nostalgic videos across his social media platforms on Instagram and X. This marked Bachchan's third consecutive tribute following the veteran actor's passing at the age of 75. Patekar died in the early hours of Thursday after experiencing chest pain at his home in Goa.

The shared footage revisited numerous personal and professional milestones between the two actors. One clip featured Patekar discussing his experience filming an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati alongside Bachchan, while another showed him singing Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala directly from the quiz show's hot seat. Additional clips captured lighthearted memories from their cinematic collaboration in Kohram and a moment where Patekar spoke about Bachchan becoming a grandfather.

Accompanying the video posts, Bachchan expressed his shock on X, writing that while their connection had long been maintained through messages, today those messages stopped coming. The continuous stream of tributes highlighted Patekar's memorable television appearances, his off-screen bond with Bachchan, and the body of work that defined his career.

Bachchan also dedicated a segment of the latest Kaun Banega Crorepati episode to commemorate his late friend and colleague. Describing him as an extraordinary artist, well-wisher, and exceptional member of society, Bachchan noted that the loss had deeply stunned the entertainment industry and everyone who knew him personally.

Praise was given to Patekar's transparency, simplicity, and moral courage. Bachchan remarked that while people eventually leave, their voices and good deeds endure, offering a personal salutation and tribute to an artist who lived with absolute integrity. He recalled Patekar's previous guest appearance on the program, noting that his words resonated deeply and that his decision to donate his winnings to a noble cause exemplified his commitment to social work.

Bachchan specifically referenced Patekar's active support for farmers in drought-affected regions of Maharashtra, where the late actor provided personal assistance. Concluding his remarks on behalf of the entire production family, the megastar extended a heartfelt farewell.

Patekar was later cremated with full state honors at his farmhouse in Donje, located near Pune's Khadakwasla, in recognition of his extensive contributions to Marathi theater and cinema. The final rites were attended by family members, industry colleagues, friends, and political leaders, including Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, and several other officials and film personalities. Numerous prominent figures from the film fraternity also shared digital tributes to honor his legacy.
