Gujarat Pharma Plant Reactor Blast Kills Five and Injures Six in Bharuch

An explosion occurred during a hydrogenation process at SynZeal Pharmachem located in Gujarat’s Bharuch district, completely tearing apart a 15-kilolitre reactor tank. The violent blast resulted in the deaths of five people and left six others injured.

Following the explosion, a methylene dichloride gas leak emerged from the facility, enveloping both the plant and the surrounding areas in a thick haze. Local authorities and safety officials have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the blast and to check whether proper safety regulations were strictly followed at the site.
