Drishyam 3 is rapidly establishing itself as one of the major box office success stories of the year, maintaining a steady momentum as it transitions into its second week of release. The investigative thriller, which features a prominent cast including Tabu, Prakash Raj, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Shriya Saran alongside lead actor Ajay Devgn, crossed the milestone of ₹257 crore in net domestic collections by the end of its eighth day.

The film recorded a massive opening when it debuted in theatres, surging past the ₹200 crore mark within its first five days. Strong advance bookings generated ₹27 crore ahead of its release, contributing to a massive opening day net collection of ₹66.75 crore across India, marking the third-biggest opening ever for a Hindi film and the highest of Ajay Devgn’s career. The momentum continued through the weekend with ₹53.50 crore on Saturday and ₹61 crore on Sunday, bringing the total first-week collection to ₹245.50 crore.

Even after experiencing a standard weekday adjustment, the sequel added another ₹11.73 crore by the evening of its eighth day, elevating its total domestic net collection to ₹257.23 crore. With these figures, Drishyam 3 has already surpassed the lifetime box office haul of its predecessor, Drishyam 2, which finished at ₹239.67 crore. The feature is now targeting the lifetime earnings of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which remains Ajay Devgn's highest-grossing film with a net collection of ₹279.59 crore.

Continuing immediately after the events of the second film, Drishyam 3 brings back Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar for what is billed as his final chapter. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, who co-wrote the script with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, the movie is backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios, with production handled by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.
