New Delhi: Delhi Police implemented stringent security measures ahead of a planned protest in the capital, resulting in the closure of multiple Delhi Metro stations starting at 9 PM. Shutters were pulled down at key stops such as the INA Market metro station on the Yellow Line to restrict entry and exit.

Commuters and visitors in areas like Dilli Haat and INA Market encountered major inconveniences as a consequence of the sudden restrictions. Many travellers were forced to adjust their itineraries on the spot, relying on auto-rickshaws and other alternative transport to reach operational stations like AIIMS.

Ground reports indicated that a substantial portion of the transit network was affected to prevent potential law and order disruptions following previous demonstrations. Across the rapid transit system, a total of 46 stations were slated for closure, with 20 of those stops located along the heavily utilized Yellow Line alone.
