Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain has highlighted the state’s paradox, pointing out that while a significant portion of India’s administrative machinery comes from Bihar, the state itself continues to grapple with governance and education challenges.
Speaking about his strategy to improve the education sector, Hasnain stated that he aims to cultivate leadership, ownership, and accountability by drawing on his background in the Indian Army. Serving as the Chancellor of 17 state universities, he noted that comprehensive efforts are currently underway to professionalize higher education.
Describing the trajectory of Bihar as an improving one, Hasnain expressed that the state's narrative is currently following an upward curve, with visible changes beginning to emerge.
Detailing the administrative paradox, the Governor observed that Bihar effectively runs the country through its heavy representation in the bureaucracy, yet struggles to apply that same administrative capability to govern itself efficiently.
