Actor Luke Evans has described the experience of shooting his latest television drama close to home as truly joyous. Having his family present on set allowed them to be closely involved, and he even managed to secure a cameo appearance for some of his relatives in the final episode.

Following the conclusion of that filming schedule, Evans traveled to New York to star as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in a Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show. He reflected on the seven-month run as an incredible experience, describing the daily performances as wonderful, inclusive, and the most joyous two hours of his day, noting that audiences thoroughly embraced the production.

During his time on stage, Evans often encountered fans at the stage door drawing comparisons between his performance and that of Tim Curry, who originally made the role famous on stage before the 1975 cult classic film. Curry passed away in August at the age of 80.

Feeling a deep sense of gratitude, Evans wrote a letter to Curry to express his appreciation, believing that the iconic film and its enduring message would not exist without Curry's groundbreaking portrayal. Three weeks before his final Broadway performance, Evans received a response from Curry's team stating that the late actor was very appreciative of the gesture. Tragically, Curry passed away the day after Evans concluded his theatrical run.
