Labour candidate Sagal Abdi-Wali has emerged victorious in the Holborn and St Pancras by-election, capturing 45% of the total vote share to outperform the Green Party, which finished in second place.

During her post-election victory speech, the Camden Council leader spoke about her personal history in the area, noting how the borough provided a home for her family and fundamentally shaped her upbringing and life path.

Expressing her dedication to the local population, Abdi-Wali stated that her commitment to the community runs deep, while also sharing her aspiration that individuals who share her background will see themselves represented in Parliament.
