Hyderabad: A 35-year-old woman lost her life Saturday night after being stabbed by a former colleague at a cloth store located in the Azampura area of Hyderabad, with law enforcement officials pointing to a potential relationship dispute as the primary motive. The victim was identified as Tahera Bhanu, while the suspected assailant was named as Mohd. Ibrahim.

According to investigators, the suspect used a sharp knife to launch the attack inside the commercial establishment. Following the assault, the victim was urgently transported to a nearby medical facility, where attending physicians pronounced her dead upon arrival.

Initial findings from the police inquiry indicate that the suspect and the victim had reportedly maintained a relationship spanning several years. Investigators believe that Ibrahim grew resentful when Bhanu started pulling away and distancing herself from him, triggering the violent confrontation.

The accused is a married man with two children. Following the incident, he was apprehended by authorities and placed in police custody, and was subsequently transferred to a local police station as a security precaution while the investigation continues.

In an official statement regarding the tragedy, police noted that the current understanding of the motive and surrounding events is derived from preliminary findings that will be thoroughly tested as the inquiry progresses. Authorities stated that additional information will be released publicly as the case develops further.
