Speaking at the India Today Conclave in Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a sharp critique against the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), claiming the group harbors ultra-Leftist views and seeks to bring anarchy to India. He alleged that the organization's protests were part of a calculated political strategy born out of the vacuum left by a weakened Opposition.

Fadnavis drew a clear distinction between authentic demonstrations and orchestrated movements. He stated that while genuine protests stem from people experiencing real distress and voicing their concerns, other movements are entirely manufactured. According to the Chief Minister, ultra-Leftist factions and anarchists, having failed to win the ideological debate, have pivoted to exploiting specific public issues to confront the state.

While acknowledging that public-issue protests are a natural occurrence within a developmental democracy, Fadnavis accused the CJP of using a copy of the Constitution as a prop to undermine foundational constitutional bodies, such as the Election Commission of India. He characterized this approach as a conspiracy against the Constitution, reiterating that the group's underlying ideology is geared toward generating chaos.

Fadnavis noted that the BJP-led administration has consistently pursued dialogue to bridge ideological divides, pointing to past engagement with Maoists as evidence of the government's willingness to talk with groups holding opposing viewpoints. He also differentiated between lawful political dissent and disruptive behavior, clarifying that demanding a minister's resignation or gathering at Jantar Mantar does not constitute anarchy in itself.

However, Fadnavis argued that the line into anarchy was crossed at the CJP agitation in Delhi due to the involvement of history-sheeters and the use of abusive language directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Concluding his remarks, he emphasized that the government must navigate continuous public demonstrations while carefully separating genuine grievances from fabricated agitations.
