Ahead of scheduled demonstrations, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee delivered firm remarks on consecutive days, reflecting different facets of her political stance. On October 9, she addressed administrative scheduling by stating that the following day was a designated holiday for government offices and remarked that others should not attempt to instruct her administration.

Following those remarks on the eve of the demonstration, Banerjee adopted a more defiant tone on October 10. Asserting that her camp harbored no fear, she emphasized that the ongoing political battle would persist despite opposing pressures.
