Mumbai Protest Crackdown, Over 400 Detained at August Kranti Maidan, Rahul Gandhi Chennai Youth Event

Over 400 protesters gathered in solidarity with demonstrations in Delhi have been detained at August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai. Police barricaded and cordoned off the heritage ground after denying permission for the gathering, deploying additional security forces to prevent demonstrators from advancing. Organiser Tushar Gandhi was taken into custody earlier in the afternoon and transferred to the DN Nagar police station, while actor Imran Khan was also among those detained. Despite resistance from assembly participants, police used additional force to execute detentions across the area. Meanwhile, in Chennai, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to lead a parallel youth interaction titled Chatru ki Goonj organised by the Congress.
