The Delhi administration has formulated an extensive winter action plan aimed at curbing severe air pollution, which is scheduled to remain in effect from November 1 through February 28. Under this initiative, authorities will strictly enforce a no pollution under control, or PUC, no fuel policy alongside placing restrictions on the entry of non-BS6 compliant vehicles registered outside the national capital region.

To further tackle environmental hazards, officials plan to introduce stringent oversight mechanisms for construction dust using artificial intelligence-powered monitoring cameras. Additional interventions feature a strong emphasis on a 50 percent work-from-home arrangement for workplaces.

The comprehensive strategy also heavily promotes public transportation networks, including buses, the metro, and improved last-mile connectivity options. These combined measures are designed to secure cleaner air and significantly reduce seasonal toxic emissions across Delhi during the colder months.
