New Delhi: A metro commuter allegedly attempted to escape a security checkpoint at the Jama Masjid station in Delhi after a baggage scanner detected an unusual item. Personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force quickly pursued the individual and intercepted him near the exit gates.

Upon conducting a physical inspection, authorities reportedly discovered 155 grams of gold paste hidden inside the passenger's undergarments. Because the individual was unable to provide valid paperwork or legal documentation for the precious metal, he was taken into custody.

The suspect and the seized contraband were subsequently transferred to the local police department for further investigation and legal proceedings.
