Jewar Airport Renamed As Narendra Modi Airport Ahead Of 2027 UP Polls
The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved a proposal to rename the Jewar Airport in Noida as the Narendra Modi International Airport. Announcing the decision, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the council of ministers passed the resolution to rename the Noida International Airport after the Prime Minister. The decision comes ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and marks Prime Minister Narendra Modi's twenty-five years of public service tenure. The airport, located in the Delhi NCR region, was completed under the current regime after being in development for twenty-five years, with its first phase inaugurated earlier. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally briefed the media regarding the cabinet's formal approval of the renaming proposal.
