New Delhi: West Indies have rested Shai Hope for their upcoming two-Test series against Bangladesh, making several adjustments to their squad for their final assignment in the ongoing 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle.

Opening batter John Campbell returns to the Test setup after recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him during the home series against Pakistan. Meanwhile, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph has been withdrawn following a routine medical evaluation and specialist consultation, according to Cricket West Indies.

All-rounder Keemo Paul replaces Joseph in the touring party, and Barbados batter Kevin Wickham has earned his maiden Test call-up on the back of impressive domestic form. Wickham scored three consecutive centuries in the West Indies Championship, registering scores of 105, 153, and an unbeaten 108 to finish as the tournament's third-highest run-scorer.

The two-match series marks the conclusion of West Indies' campaign in the 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle. Although the team is out of contention for the final, the tour provides an opportunity to evaluate emerging talent. Bangladesh aims to leverage home conditions to strengthen their standing in the table.

The opening Test is set to begin in Mirpur on October 28, followed by the second match in Sylhet starting November 5.
