Actor Rashmika Mandanna has announced that she has adopted 400 families, offering to fund their grocery expenses in three-month phases over the upcoming year. The actor took to social media to share the details of the initiative, expressing her desire to inspire her followers to participate in small acts of kindness.

Rashmika, who is preparing for the release of her upcoming film Ranabaali, noted that her character Jayamma shares traits with her own personality, notably an inclination to assist others. While she typically keeps philanthropic efforts private, she chose to publicize this drive to motivate her supporters.

She explained on Instagram that she usually keeps such efforts quiet, believing that awareness within her immediate team is sufficient. However, she decided to speak out in the hope that it might influence others to undertake similar gestures.

Under this initiative, the support reaches 400 families at a time, with the objective of allowing recipients to save money on daily food expenses and redirect those funds toward planning their futures. The actor stated she wanted to begin the effort immediately and continue it for a full year.

Rashmika also encouraged her audience to contribute in any capacity, emphasizing that meaningful contributions do not need to be massive. She reflected on the difficulties and challenges of her career, noting that the happiness of the families makes the hardships worthwhile.

As part of the drive, the actor shared a list of specific grocery items designated for donation. Professionally, Rashmika will next appear in Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, which is scheduled to hit theatres on October 16.
