New Delhi: Leaving a monthly salary of Rs 50,000 meant walking away from a predictable paycheck, but for a former Zomato employee named Varsha, the risk has opened the door to a multi-stream independent career. Five months after quitting her corporate role, she has built an alternative livelihood by combining technology content creation, brand partnerships, individual teaching sessions, and remote sales.

In a video shared on Instagram, Varsha detailed how these four distinct revenue streams generated a total of Rs 2,28,892 during September. Despite the strong overall figure, she pointed out that the month was actually slower compared to her earnings in July and August.

The largest portion of her September income came from technology user-generated content, commonly known as TechUGC, which brought in Rs 1,00,900. This work involves producing promotional material and videos centered around technology products and services.

Brand deals secured through her personal social media presence served as her second-largest revenue source, contributing Rs 86,000 for the month. However, she noted that a significant portion of those funds had not yet cleared, with Rs 66,000 still pending payment to her bank account.

Her third income channel involves conducting one-on-one coaching sessions to teach others how to generate income through TechUGC, netting her Rs 36,242 in September. Meanwhile, remote sales provided a smaller contribution, bringing in approximately Rs 5,744 for the month.

Varsha's financial breakdown highlights the realities of moving away from a traditional job in favor of a portfolio career. While diversification offers higher earning potential, it also introduces income volatility and payment delays, as demonstrated by her outstanding brand deal invoices.

Looking ahead, Varsha aims to scale her business back up after what she classified as a slower period. Expressing optimism for the final quarter of the year, she stated that she hopes to increase her revenue momentum starting in October.
