Politician Tej Pratap Yadav’s sudden departure from Rise and Fall Season 2 brought an emotional turn to the reality series, reducing actor Swara Bhasker to tears during a poignant farewell. Host Virender Sehwag initially informed the housemates that no elimination would take place from the Basement that week despite several nominations, offering temporary relief to the Tower. However, that calm was short-lived when the host announced that Tej was required to step away from the program due to pressing legal obligations.
Reflecting on his time in the house, Tej expressed gratitude for the friendships and affection he experienced, stating that he hoped to reunite with his fellow contestants at the grand finale. Before his departure, he shared a deeply emotional moment with Swara Bhasker, seeking her blessings and noting that her manner of serving food in the Penthouse reminded him of his mother. The heartfelt gesture moved several housemates, causing Swara to tear up. Rulers and Workers temporarily set aside their ongoing rivalries, dancing together to give the departing contestant a warm send-off.
Prior to the shocking exit, the episode featured an emotional video call arranged by Sehwag connecting Tej with his parents, former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. Lalu praised his son's performance on the show, while Rabri offered lighthearted remarks before expressing their family's pride. The conversation also turned tender as Tej checked on his father's health, leaving the politician visibly moved. Fellow contestant Priyanka Chahar Choudhary also expressed her admiration for Lalu Prasad Yadav, highlighting his well-known wit.
The episode included lighter moments as well, featuring a guest appearance by Sanket Bhosale in a Sanjay Dutt-inspired persona who engaged in playful banter and recreated iconic walks with the contestants. In addition to Tej's exit, the game shifted dynamics with the introduction of three wildcard entrants: Rishabh Jaiswal joined the Penthouse, while Jashwanth Bopanna and Sonam Malik were placed in the Basement.
Produced by Banijay Asia and hosted by Virender Sehwag, Rise and Fall Season 2 streams daily on Prime Video.
