New Delhi: High political drama unfolded in the national capital as opposition INDIA bloc leaders gathered at the Constitution Club to organize a march toward the Supreme Court of India. Opposition representatives stated that their mobilization aimed to submit a petition following instructions and after previous approaches to other authorities met with hurdles. In response to the planned march, massive deployments of Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel, including the Central Reserve Police Force and Indo-Tibetan Border Police, were positioned across key central routes to prevent the parliamentarians from advancing.

Simultaneously, Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha workers and women MPs held a fierce protest outside the Congress headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg. The demonstrators breached police barricades, burnt effigies, and demanded accountability from the opposition leadership following allegations of sexual harassment linked to Congress Member of Parliament Angomcha Bimol Akoijam's past tenure at Jawaharlal Nehru University. Security personnel restricted movement across the area as both sides engaged in simultaneous demonstrations under newly instituted public assembly orders.

The political tensions coincided with a decision by Delhi Police to officially de-notify Jantar Mandir as a designated protest venue. Authorities cited law and order considerations for removing the site within the New Delhi district and Lutyens zone, designating three alternative locations for future demonstrations at Ramlila Maidan, Burari, and the CBD ground in East Delhi.

Addressing reporters during the ongoing events, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asserted that the opposition movement operates through spontaneous resistance rather than rigid blueprints. When asked about strategy, he compared the agitation to an organic wave, referencing the inclusive approach of the past Bharat Jodo Yatra. Gandhi stated that disparate agitations across the nation are unified with the goal of removing officials and the Prime Minister, while affirming that his party will protect any civil society group defending the Constitution. He also confirmed that evidence is actively being compiled to present before the President of India.
