Gautam Buddh Nagar Police have enforced prohibitory orders across the district under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, putting restrictions in place regarding unauthorized gatherings of five or more people, public processions, provocative speeches, and the dissemination of misleading information. The regulations took effect on Saturday morning and are scheduled to remain active until October 20.

This decision coincides with a planned demonstration in neighboring Delhi by the Cockroach Janata Party, which has called for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged electoral process irregularities. Additionally, various farmers and youth factions have urged individuals from Uttar Pradesh and elsewhere to participate in the political mobilization.

In response, authorities have intensified security protocols, increasing checkpoints and deploying extra police forces alongside the Border Security Force at the borders separating Noida and Delhi. According to an official directive released by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police for Law and Order Archana Singh, the mandate covers the Navratri festival starting October 11, Mahanavami and Dussehra celebrations on October 19 and 20, and multiple scheduled examinations.

The administrative order notes ongoing demonstrations led by farmers and political entities over distinct grievances, highlighting a potential risk of disruptive elements compromising public safety. Because of the immediate necessity of the situation, the guidelines were issued ex parte without prior hearings.

Under the implemented rules, individuals are barred from organizing or joining unauthorized processions on public roads or toll plazas, or assembling in groups of five or more at public venues without explicit clearance from the police commissioner or deputy commissioners. Exemptions may apply for events officially sanctioned by the government.

The prohibitions extend to inflammatory slogans, activities that could offend religious sensitivities or escalate communal tensions, and unauthorized drone operations. Specifically, drone photography and filming are entirely prohibited within a one-kilometer radius of government offices.

Interference with barricades, public address systems, CCTV cameras, or drones is strictly forbidden. The directives also limit loudspeaker usage between 10 pm and 6 am, prohibit unauthorized religious ceremonies in public spaces or on roads, and ban unauthorized worship at disputed locations.

Additional clauses forbid the display or carrying of weapons, celebratory gunfire, public consumption of alcohol, dissemination of rumors, and the stockpiling of hazardous items. Forced business shutdowns, interruptions to essential utility supplies, and the trade or deployment of specific string types like Chinese manjha are likewise outlawed.

Around examination centers, authorities have set up a 200-metre radius zone where assemblies, unauthorized sound systems, and photocopying shops are restricted, while electronic gadgets and unfair testing practices are prohibited without authorization. Law enforcement confirmed that violations of these 10-day mandates across Gautam Buddh Nagar will be prosecuted under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
