A woman who walked away from a monthly salary of Rs 50,000 at Zomato has detailed what her financial life looked like five months after going out on her own. Sharing her journey on Instagram, the creator outlined how she built four distinct income streams that generated a total of Rs 2,28,892 in September, a period she characterized as a relatively slow month.

Identified online as Varsha, the content creator explained that she replaced her former corporate earnings through a combination of content creation, sponsored brand partnerships, paid consultations, and remote sales. She noted that she originally left what she considered her ideal job at Zomato five months prior to pursue independent ventures.

The first source of income came from technology-focused user-generated content, known as TechUGC. This work involves producing promotional videos, product demonstrations, and reviews for tech companies to utilize in their own marketing campaigns. This stream brought in Rs 1,900 during September, marking a notable drop from her earnings in July and August.

Her largest financial contributor for the month came from brand partnerships hosted directly on her Instagram profile, which brought in Rs 86,000, though she clarified that Rs 66,000 of that figure was still pending collection. The third revenue stream involved one-on-one consultation sessions where she taught others how to build a six-figure income through TechUGC, generating about Rs 36,242.

The final component of her income was remote sales, which contributed an additional Rs 5,744 for the month, a stream she described as still quite small compared to her other efforts. Although her total September revenue reached nearly Rs 2.3 lakh, she emphasized that the month lagged behind her performance in the previous two months and expressed optimism for improvement in October.

The transparent financial breakdown elicited a polarized reaction across social media platforms. While several commenters praised her resilience and asked to learn from her methods, calling the journey genuinely motivational, other users voiced skepticism concerning the authenticity and ease of online income declarations.
