Social media accounts linked to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence are reportedly being used to spread disinformation, inflammatory messages, and fabricated videos amid ongoing opposition protests in New Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. According to intelligence sources, the Pakistani intelligence agency activated various online handles as part of an alleged toolkit designed to foster chaos and misinformation in the national capital.

These accounts are operating from Pakistan and international locations, pushing misleading content while demonstrations unfold. Among the fabrications was a video falsely claiming that Delhi Police opened fire on Monday as INDIA bloc leaders marched toward the Supreme Court, and alleging that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was injured during the incident. This claim was circulated online while the protest march was still actively underway.

Sources noted that the specific account responsible for pushing the false injury narrative was operated from Pakistan. The same handle previously published a post on October 10 falsely alleging that 13 people had died during the demonstrations, forming part of a broader wave of misleading digital content intended to heighten tensions.

In response to the campaign, Delhi Police and national intelligence agencies are closely monitoring the networks and profiles suspected of circulating false and inflammatory material. Authorities have already identified multiple accounts and are communicating with relevant platforms and agencies to secure their closure, alongside pursuing broader legal actions.
