Five Indian expatriates recently secured a combined Dh1.95 million in consolation prizes during the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket Series 291 draw. Among the fortunate winners are a 53-year-old truck driver who has spent nearly two decades in the United Arab Emirates and an engineer who used a significant family date to select his winning numbers.

Kulwant Singh, a 53-year-old native of Punjab who lives with his family in Dubai's Jebel Ali district, secured Dh500,000 from the draw. Singh has resided in the UAE since 2008 and works as a truck driver. After watching the lottery draws online for years, he began purchasing tickets himself about two years ago alongside a group of five friends who pooled their financial resources each month.

For the winning entry, Singh randomly picked a sequence that ultimately paid off after numerous previous attempts. He expressed great satisfaction with the result and confirmed that the prize money will be divided among the members of his group. Singh intends to direct his share toward his family and home, while also maintaining his routine of participating in future monthly draws.

Another winner, 30-year-old engineer Muhammed Ijas C. from Kerala, was awarded Dh100,000. Ijas has lived in Ajman with his family for seven years and discovered the lottery platform through social media channels like Instagram and YouTube approximately six months prior to his win.

Ijas entered the draw as part of a ten-person syndicate that regularly purchased tickets together. In selecting the numbers for their successful entry, he chose a combination derived from his son's birth date and birth year, giving the victory a deeply personal meaning. He plans to dedicate his portion of the shared prize directly to his son's future.

Both men and their respective group members expressed immense joy and renewed optimism following the announcement. Despite winning different sums, both Singh and Ijas intend to continue buying tickets for upcoming draws while utilizing their current winnings to provide for their families.
