Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kirit Somaiya has publicly demanded the deportation of actor Imran Khan, alleging that the actor holds United States citizenship. The demand follows Khan's participation in a recent protest organized by the CJP in Mumbai.
In connection with the demonstration, Somaiya has formally urged the Mumbai Police to investigate and verify Khan's citizenship status to determine if any legal violations have occurred regarding foreign nationals participating in local political or social protests.
In response to the allegations and demands for his removal from the country, Imran Khan defended his presence at the gathering. The actor clarified that he attended the demonstration strictly in his capacity as a resident and citizen of Mumbai, emphasizing that he was not representing any political organization or partisan group.
