An eight-year friendship has hit a rough patch on Rise and Fall Season 2, with Sara Gurpal confronting Gautam Gulati over his aggressive behaviour in the Basement. What began as a seemingly casual exchange between the two, with Raj Grover also present, soon escalated when Gautam slammed his leg against a bench, leaving Sara furious and visibly shaken. Having considered Gautam a friend for years, Sara refused to let the incident slide, especially after it brought back painful memories of an abusive relationship.
Sara made it clear that Gautam’s behaviour had frightened her, turning the disagreement into a deeply personal confrontation. With Kaira Anu and Raj Grover backing her, the Workers rallied around Sara and questioned Gautam’s conduct. Already occupied with his ongoing feud with Shehzad Poonawalla, Gautam now found himself facing resistance from within his own circle. The clash also brought the fragility of friendships in the Tower into focus, where personal equations can change in a matter of moments.
The tensions did not end there. As Kaira’s rivalry with Gautam resurfaced, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary found herself caught in the middle after stepping in to calm him down. The Workers reminded Priyanka that they had supported her during her earlier conflict with Gautam, leaving her feeling let down by those she believed had her back.
Things grew more heated when Priyanka and Kajal Raghwani clashed over honesty, with Kaira joining the argument. Meanwhile, in the Penthouse, Swara Bhasker became emotional as thoughts of her family overwhelmed her, adding another layer of vulnerability to an already tense day. Other than the clashes, the festive celebrations brought the Rulers and Workers together, with the Workers taking charge of preparations in the Penthouse, including making garlands for the Rulers. However, Kaira and Kajal’s visit upstairs soon reignited tensions. Rishabh called Kaira judgemental and desperate, prompting her to hit back and bring his girlfriend into the exchange. Even amid the festive rituals, old rivalries continued to surface.
Away from the personal clashes, the race for the Ultimate Ruler crown also took a dramatic turn. With Shehzad Poonawalla’s reign coming to an end, the Workers were given the chance to choose their favourite Ruler. They selected Niharika Tiwari, who was then tasked with eliminating two contenders.
