Two Latvian men who were arrested following a security breach at a Cambridgeshire Royal Air Force base have been released on bail under strict conditions. Ministry of Defence Police security patrols at RAF Molesworth, a facility utilized by the United States military and NATO for intelligence operations, discovered an abandoned vehicle near the location at approximately 22:00 BST on Wednesday. Following searches that revealed a small breach in the site's perimeter fence, the two suspects, aged 36 and 32 and both residents of the United Kingdom, were apprehended inside the restricted area a few hours later. The pair were subsequently transported to a Cambridgeshire police station for questioning, and the Metropolitan Police confirmed they have since been placed on bail with strict conditions while investigations continue.
