Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming movie Spirit, which stars Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, has received a revised theatrical release window. Originally slated to debut on March 5, 2027, the project will now open on October 29, 2027, aligning with the festive Diwali season. This schedule adjustment creates a high-profile box-office showdown against Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part 2, starring Ranbir Kapoor, which is also scheduled to launch during the same holiday period.
Vanga revealed the updated schedule while teasing an upcoming promotional poster featuring the lead actor. Taking to social media, the director shared the visual asset alongside a message highlighting the global rollout date for late October 2027.
Spirit represents the initial creative partnership between Prabhas and Vanga. In the movie, the actor will portray a law enforcement official dealing with a significant personal flaw, supported by an ensemble cast that includes Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi, and Prakash Raj.
The feature's initial promotional look, released near the end of 2025, presented Prabhas in a battered and rugged persona next to Dimri. Outside of this project, the actor's schedule includes the period action feature Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, which shifted from a December 2026 expectation toward a March 18, 2027, premiere.
Prabhas continues to maintain a busy slate with multiple high-profile productions ahead, such as upcoming installments for Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar.
