Actor-politician and BJP Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan, has praised Gen Z, describing the younger generation as the soul of India and expressing confidence that they will lead the nation in the coming years. His comments coincided with active protests in Delhi led by the CJP over allegations of vote theft and electoral irregularities.

Speaking at Mumbai’s Khidkiyaan Theatre Film Festival 2026, where he appeared alongside Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kishan stated that he saw a reflection of himself in the younger population. He emphasized that Gen Z represents the future of the country and will eventually manage its affairs across all spheres, from Parliament to the streets.

The CJP previously organized prominent demonstrations beginning at Jantar Mantar, which eventually led to political developments including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following controversies surrounding the NEET-UG examination. Months later, the group returned to the streets to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over concerns regarding voter lists and electoral integrity.

While the CJP functions as a youth-driven pressure group, Kishan sought to separate the broader demographic of Gen Z from the organization and its specific movements in the capital. He asserted that the general youth population has no connection to the Jantar Mantar demonstrations, maintaining that the generation is deeply patriotic and committed to the country.

Kishan also cautioned against attempting to lecture young Indians, noting that they are already well-informed, possess extensive knowledge, and are fully capable of forming their own independent perspectives without outside interference.
