Central Delhi witnessed heavy security arrangements and multi-layer barricading following a protest call given by the Caucus Janata Party demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Around 20,000 security personnel, including Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces, Rapid Action Force, and Sashastra Seema Bal jawans, were deployed across sensitive zones, with 6,500 personnel stationed around Jantar Mantar.

Key leaders, including Abhijeet Deepke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka, were detained upon landing at Delhi Airport, while prominent figures like YouTuber Dhruv Rathee were detained with assistance from Gurugram Police. Authorities shut dozens of metro stations, restricted internet services within a four-kilometre radius, set up twelve detention centres, and blocked major roads leading to Jantar Mantar such as Mandi House roundabout, Feroz Shah Road, and Janpath.

Police officers equipped with body cameras and CCTV surveillance conducted rigorous checks on vehicles and commuters at major entry points, including ITO, to prevent unauthorised gatherings. Alongside the heightened security grid, commercial areas like Connaught Place experienced a practical shutdown as offices, restaurants, and shops shuttered their doors amid the sweeping clampdown in New Delhi.
