New Delhi: Four men who faced accusations of assaulting a protester during a demonstration in Delhi’s Connaught Place have been released on bail. The arrests and subsequent allegations stemmed from a widely circulated video clip that initially triggered claims of a woman being targeted during the unrest.
However, subsequent checks by authorities revealed that the individual who appeared to be a woman in the viral footage was actually a male participant. Following their release from custody, the four individuals were greeted by supporters who welcomed them with flower garlands.
