A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party women Members of Parliament and Mahila Morcha party workers gathered at the BJP headquarters before marching toward Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet President Droupadi Murmu. The leaders gathered to submit a memorandum seeking strict action and demanding the resignation of Congress MP Bimol Akoijam following sexual harassment allegations involving eleven Jawaharlal Nehru University students.

Speaking during the demonstration, BJP leaders including D. Purandeswari, Malavika Devi, and Radhika Khera questioned the silence of senior Congress figures Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. They highlighted findings from an internal inquiry and called for safety, security, and justice for the affected students while alleging double standards on women's safety.

In a separate development, Delhi Police detained volunteers and leaders, including Ashutosh Ranka and Saurabh Das, after they staged a flash protest at Jantar Mantar. The demonstration occurred following the central authorities' move to de-notify Jantar Mantar as a designated protest venue, shifting permitted agitation sites to Ramlila Maidan, CBD ground, and Burari grounds.

Visuals showed protesters climbing an iron gate near Jantar Mantar, carrying the national flag and shouting slogans demanding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar before being apprehended by security personnel. Heavy barricading and security forces, including paramilitary units, remain deployed across Central Delhi.

Delhi Police had earlier released the leaders on a fifty thousand rupee bond requiring them to maintain peace. Authorities indicated that potential legal action, including registration of first information reports, is being examined by the police legal team for alleged breaches of undertaking conditions and assembly curbs under section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
