Hyderabad — Actor Sai Pallavi added a serene and devotional touch to the promotional campaign for Ramayana: Rise of a Legend by performing a traditional bhajan during an event in Hyderabad on Monday. Draped in a pink saree, the actor, who portrays Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic film, was encouraged by host Suma to sing for the audience. Following a brief moment of hesitation, Pallavi opted for a devotional song, delivering a soulful performance that prompted loud cheers and applause from fans gathered at the JRC Convention Centre.
Videos of the unscripted moment swiftly spread across social media platforms like X and Instagram. Followers responded warmly, praising her ability to bring a genuine sense of reverence to an event dedicated to one of India's most celebrated epics. The gesture was widely seen as fitting for an actor stepping into the role of Sita.
The high-energy promotional evening was designed to highlight the grand scale of the ambitious cinematic project. Promotional materials have increasingly featured Pallavi as Sita, including previews showcasing a warrior persona for the character. The movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Yash as Ravana.
Produced by Prime Focus Studios in partnership with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical premiere on November 5, coinciding with the Diwali festival. The multilingual feature will debut in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, alongside premium formats including IMAX. International distribution outside India will be managed by Sony Pictures, while Dharma Productions will oversee the Hindi-language theatrical rollout. A second installment of the epic is already planned for release during Diwali 2027.
