Mumbai, Oct 24, 2026 12:56 IST: The Mumbai Crime Branch has recovered two firearms and 10 live cartridges from a hideout in Surat, Gujarat, as part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting incident involving actor Tiger Shroff's car, according to police officials.

The weapons were seized on Friday during coordinated raids following an investigation into the logistical trail of the firearms supplied to the attackers. Law enforcement authorities have forwarded the recovered guns and ammunition for forensic examination and ballistic testing to determine if they match the empty shell casings retrieved from the site of the attack.

The shooting took place on the evening of October 18 in Mumbai's Juhu neighborhood, when two men on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds at the actor's vehicle before escaping. Tiger Shroff avoided serious injury, though his driver and a bystander suffered injuries during the incident. Investigators later recovered an abandoned motorcycle in Andheri believed to have been used by the suspects.

Authorities have registered a formal case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act, encompassing charges of attempted murder. Ten individuals have been arrested across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana in connection with the conspiracy.

Additionally, police have named gangster Anil Pandit as a wanted suspect after he claimed responsibility for the attack via social media. Investigators noted that Pandit is an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and is believed to be operating from the United States. Further inquiries are ongoing to dismantle the complete weapons supply network and locate other involved parties.
