New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has launched the Aurum Edition of the Victoris to mark the SUV’s first anniversary. The special edition is based on the strong-hybrid variants and is available as an accessory package priced at Rs 22,990. The Victoris strong-hybrid range is originally priced between Rs 16.43 lakh and Rs 19.99 lakh ex-showroom.

The Victoris Aurum Edition receives several cosmetic updates, including copper-coloured inserts on the front and rear skid plates, side skid plate designs, and the wheel arches. It also features chrome accessories for the front grille, fenders, bumpers, body-side mouldings, and door visors. Furthermore, the package includes all-weather 3D cabin mats, a 3D boot mat, and a rear trunk sill guard.

Maruti Suzuki reported that the Victoris achieved the highest first-year sales for a new model launch within India's passenger vehicle sector. The manufacturer also emphasized the vehicle's rapid commercial milestones, asserting that it became the fastest-selling passenger vehicle in the country to surpass both 100,000 and 150,000 sales figures following its debut.

Underneath the styling updates, the Victoris strong hybrid utilizes a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an electric motor and a battery pack. This setup generates a combined output of 116 horsepower, directing power to the front wheels via an e-CVT automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki reports an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency rating of 28.65 kilometres per litre.

The Aurum Edition preserves the core strong-hybrid powertrain alongside its dedicated electric vehicle mode, which enables the automobile to operate on electric power under appropriate driving conditions. This newly introduced styling package is designed for customers seeking to personalize their Victoris with extra exterior design details and enhanced interior accessories.
