Actor Saif Ali Khan found himself targeted with lighthearted teasing on The Great Indian Kapil Show after host Kapil Sharma and his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, poked fun at him for welcoming a child in every decade of his life. A newly released promotional video for the comedy program shows Kareena posing a playful query about their family expansion plans, which left Saif blushing and visibly uncomfortable on stage.

The amusing conversation started when Kapil remarked that it was quite a unique blessing for the actor to have a child across different decades. Joining in on the joke, Kareena turned directly to her husband and inquired about what the future held. Before Saif could formulate a reply, co-host Archana Puran Singh chimed in to note that another decade was approaching soon, prompting Kareena to swiftly clarify that any future expansion would certainly not involve her. Her sharp and witty remark generated loud laughter from the studio audience and left Saif laughing in embarrassment.

This is not the first occasion where Kareena has publicly addressed the generational spread of Saif's fatherhood. During an earlier conversation with Vogue, she commended her husband for navigating parenthood through his twenties, thirties, forties, and fifties, while simultaneously drawing a firm boundary against any further additions. She previously noted that she had made it clear to him that having another child in his sixties was out of the question. During the same discussion, she highlighted his broad-minded approach to raising four children at vastly different life stages and explained the scheduling pact they follow to balance their demanding film careers.

Saif and Kareena tied the knot in October 2012 during an intimate ceremony in Mumbai following a multi-year courtship. They share two sons, Taimur Ali Khan, born in December 2016, and Jehangir Ali Khan, welcomed in February 2021. Prior to this marriage, Saif was married to actor Amrita Singh from 1991 until their separation and divorce in 2004. He shares two children from his first marriage as well, daughter Sara Ali Khan, who entered the film industry as an actor, and son Ibrahim Ali Khan, who has gained behind-the-scenes production experience while preparing for his own acting career.

On the professional front, Kareena's recent cinematic projects include the Meghna Gulzar-directed crime thriller Daayra, which also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran. Meanwhile, Saif recently appeared in Priyadarshan's psychological thriller Haiwaan, marking a screen reunion with actor Akshay Kumar after a gap of 17 years.
