The European Union has issued a strong condemnation of violent attacks carried out by settlers in the West Bank, which included incidents targeting European diplomats. The bloc's foreign policy spokesperson made the announcement on Sunday following escalating violence in the region.

The official statement followed remarks by Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot, who reported that Israeli settlers had targeted Palestinian civilians, European diplomats, and a French mayor in the occupied West Bank. Video footage and screengrabs from Taybeh documented vehicles at the site of the confrontation.

While acknowledging statements from several Israeli representatives who condemned the violence, the European Union stressed the need for concrete action. The bloc called for full accountability and effective preventative measures to stop ongoing harassment and violence directed at Palestinians—particularly during the active olive harvest season—as well as against journalists.
