The demonstration followed a decision by central authorities to de-notify Jantar Mantar as a designated site for protests, relocating permitted agitation venues to Ramlila Maidan, the CBD ground, and the Burari grounds.
Visuals from the scene captured demonstrators scaling an iron gate near Jantar Mantar while carrying the national flag and shouting slogans demanding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. Security personnel swiftly intervened and apprehended the protesters.
Heavy barricading and a strong security presence, including paramilitary units, remain deployed throughout Central Delhi to maintain order. Earlier, Delhi Police released detained leaders on a fifty thousand rupee bond that requires them to maintain peace.
