BENGALURU: Three individuals, including a nine-year-old boy, suffered injuries after an LPG cylinder exploded at a godown located in the Pattangere area of Rajarajeshwari Nagar in Bengaluru on Saturday morning. The injured victims have been identified as Bablu, a local resident named Lakshmamma, and the young boy. Prompt response from local police ensured that all three were quickly transferred to a private hospital for medical care.

Preliminary findings indicate that the incident stems from a suspected gas leak originating from a cylinder during the night, which subsequently triggered a fire inside the storage facility. The godown is owned by Bablu, originally from Bihar, who has resided in Bengaluru for two decades and utilized the space to store supplies for his pani puri enterprise.

Authorities believe that flammable vapors and pressure accumulated inside the enclosed structure overnight. The situation escalated when Bablu arrived at the property in the morning and unlocked the entrance, causing accumulated flames to burst outward and strike him alongside the nearby bystanders.

Emergency responders from the fire and rescue services, accompanied by local law enforcement officers, arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough inspection of the premises. Officials are continuing their inquiries to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the blast and the exact severity of the injuries sustained by the victims.
