The latest episode of the reality series Rise and Fall Season 2 featured high drama when contestant Manish Kashyap kicked a storeroom door and stormed off the set following a fierce disagreement with wildcard contestant Sonam Malik. The flashpoint occurred after Sonam called Manish ill-mannered and told him not to act as anyone's tail, prompting a furious reaction. Manish threw his microphone into the air, declared that he had come on the show to earn respect rather than lose it, and walked out. He later returned to the set and acknowledged that he should have controlled his temper.
The confrontation stemmed from shifting alliances and nominations within the Tower. Earlier in the game, Niharika had ranked the Rulers, placing Kajal first followed by Manish, Priyanka, and Gautam, while Sonam was placed last and sent straight into nominations. Subsequent nomination rounds saw Gautam choose Priyanka and Sonam target Manish, before Sonam switched her target to Kajal to keep Gautam safe. Following Manish's dramatic exit, fellow contestants Gautam and Priyanka discussed the volatile atmosphere, while Gautam and Kajal Raghwani later comforted Sonam.
Amid the ongoing chaos, other housemates worked to clear the air. Rishabh and Aarush Bhola chose to put aside an old feud involving past tensions with Shreya and Laila, agreeing to bury the hatchet rather than escalate further. However, friction persisted elsewhere in the house, notably when Niharika Tiwari confronted Shehzad Poonawalla over what she termed false promises.
Host Virender Sehwag arrived to lead the Weekend Power Play and strongly admonished the contestants for relying on abusive language and personal attacks. Expressing his disappointment, Sehwag questioned why minor disputes frequently escalated into serious fights and noted that he expected more maturity from the group. Drawing from his cricketing days, he advised them to respond to adversity with performance rather than retaliation, comparing verbal provocation on the field to his approach of answering bowlers with runs.
The review session also addressed interpersonal conflicts in the Basement, focusing on an ongoing dispute between Sara Gurpal and Priyanka. Priyanka accused Sara of crossing lines during their arguments, while Sara blamed Priyanka for provoking her. When the conversation shifted to a previous incident involving mental health, Sehwag pressed Sara on her stance, leading her to eventually offer an apology to Priyanka, though underlying tensions remained between the participants and Swara Bhasker.
Produced by Banijay Asia and hosted by Virender Sehwag, Rise and Fall Season 2 streams daily on Prime Video with new episodes dropping at noon.
