Actors Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan marked 14 years of marriage on October 16 with affectionate Instagram posts tracing their journey together. The photographs captured holidays, shared moments and family time with their sons, Taimur and Jeh.
Kareena and Saif married in Mumbai on October 16, 2012, after dating for five years. They grew close while filming Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Tashan in 2008. The couple kept their registered marriage private and held the ceremony at Saif’s residence in Bandra. They later celebrated with traditional wedding functions, including a sangeet, a nikah and a reception before welcoming their sons, Taimur and Jeh.
Kareena shared a series of photographs offering glimpses of the couple’s life over the years, featuring moments from their relationship as well as memories with their children. She wrote that it was another year around the sun and forever to go. Saif, who recently made his Instagram debut, responded with a playful comment wondering what the moon thinks about all this and wishing her a happy anniversary.
He later shared an anniversary post of his own where the first slide showed him standing alone with a caption stating it was almost perfect, but something was missing. Subsequent slides revealed the missing elements were Kareena, Taimur and Jeh, prompting him to share family photographs with a message celebrating the complete picture.
The couple's anniversary came a day before their first joint appearance on Season 5 of The Great Indian Kapil Show, scheduled to stream on Netflix on October 17. During the episode, the pair discussed their marriage and home life, including Kareena’s bedtime routine after the host complimented them on looking youthful.
Saif revealed that Kareena rubs ghee on her feet before going to sleep, which she explained helps her relax and ensures deep sleep. Saif offered a humorous account of the ritual by joking that the scent makes their house resemble a roadside dhaba at night.
On the professional front, Kareena was most recently seen in Daayra, directed by Meghna Gulzar, marking her first on-screen collaboration with Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in a story set within a world of crime and justice. Saif was recently seen in Haiwan, a neo-noir crime thriller co-written and directed by Priyadarshan as a remake of his 2016 Malayalam movie Oppam, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher.
