Television actor Gaurav Khanna has captured widespread public attention following his recent performance as Lord Shri Ram during a grand theatrical presentation of the Ramayana in Agra. The stage appearance followed his recent departure from the reality television show Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, which concluded with actor Avinash Mishra taking home the trophy.
Hosted at the Bhavana Estate during the Janakpuri Mahotsav 2026 celebrations, the production marked the first time Khanna assumed the role of Lord Shri Ram. The presentation also featured actor Vindu Dara Singh as Hanuman, and their collaborative on-stage presence quickly became a major talking point among attendees and online observers alike.
Footage and photographs from the event circulated widely on social media platforms, with admirers commending the actor for his serene expression and composed demeanor. Numerous posts highlighted the tranquil and spiritual atmosphere he brought to the stage, with viewers praising his ability to portray the compassion and dignity traditionally associated with the deity.
Vindu Dara Singh’s involvement in the production further enhanced the devotional tone of the event. His casting carried a nostalgic element for many spectators, given that his late father, Dara Singh, famously portrayed Hanuman in Ramanand Sagar's iconic television adaptation of the epic. Vindu himself has previously played the character in television and film projects.
The stage appearance arrived shortly after Khanna's emotional exit from Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. Although he successfully completed an elimination task ahead of fellow contestants Rubina Dilaik and Ruhaanika Dhawan, Khanna chose to step away from the competition. He explained that physical fitness concerns, particularly regarding potential strain on his right arm from upcoming stunts, influenced his decision to leave the show and prioritize his health.
