A local court in Meerut has handed down the death penalty to a woman and her boyfriend after convicting them of murdering her husband and intricately staging the crime scene to make it appear as though the victim had died from a snakebite.
The case, which drew significant attention due to the calculated nature of the cover-up, concluded with the capital punishment ruling delivered by the judiciary. Prosecutors established that the pair collaborated to take the husband's life before fabricating the snakebite scenario to mislead investigators.
