Google is expanding hardware accessibility by transforming the Play Store into more than just a digital marketplace for apps and games. The company has silently introduced a new 'Shop devices' option within the Play Store app, giving users in select regions, including India, a streamlined way to discover and purchase gadgets such as smartphones and smartwatches directly from their Android devices.

To access this new shopping section, users simply need to open the Google Play Store application and tap their profile picture in the top right corner. The account menu reveals the 'Shop devices' button, which redirects shoppers straight to the official Google Store website to check product specifications, choose models, and complete secure payments.

The shopping portal currently lists a variety of Google hardware in India, including the Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro, the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and the budget-friendly Pixel 10a. Accessories like the Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also available. Pricing begins at Rs 55,999 for the Pixel 10a, Rs 89,999 for the standard Pixel 11, and reaches Rs 1,86,999 for the high-end Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

In addition to its own hardware, reports indicate that Google is opening the platform to third-party manufacturers. Select Samsung items, including the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra, have also appeared under the shopping tab in certain global markets, according to user reports on social media.

Shoppers seeking exclusive promotions or cashback incentives will find that the platform currently lists all Google and Samsung items at standard, regular prices without special discounts. Although official Google support pages confirm that eligible hardware can now be purchased through the Play Store, the corporation has not yet disclosed formal plans for further expansion of the feature.
