Thailand's Queen Suthida achieved a notable milestone by completing her inaugural solo flight in a fighter jet, as announced by the Thai Royal Household. Official imagery captured the Queen boarding a Gripen aircraft on October 8 at an airfield located in Surat Thani province in southern Thailand, with King Maha Vajiralongkorn watching her departure from the ground.
According to the Royal Household, Queen Suthida is an accomplished pilot who has accumulated approximately 1,188 hours of flight time across various aircraft models since she initiated her aviation training in 2010. Furthermore, royal officials noted that she has previously served as a co-pilot for flights transporting the King on official international journeys.
