An active search for a man believed to be armed and dangerous concluded when authorities successfully located and questioned Christian De Jesus Santiago. The search followed a reported domestic assault in Loudoun County, Virginia.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to an incident near Conejo Way and Northstar Boulevard in Aldie shortly before noon after receiving a 911 hang-up call. Dispatchers received the call at approximately 11:55 a.m., prompting deputies to trace the communication and interview the alleged victim at the neighborhood scene.
Investigators established that the altercation was domestic in nature and alleged that Santiago assaulted the victim prior to fleeing the area. Authorities also indicated that the suspect was believed to possess a firearm, though the sheriff's office withheld details regarding the relationship between Santiago and the alleged victim.
Law enforcement issued a Be On the Lookout alert describing Santiago as a 30-year-old Hispanic man last seen around midday wearing a black baseball cap, black pants, and a black T-shirt featuring a ghost design. Although officials initially treated the event as isolated, they urged area residents to remain vigilant and avoid approaching the suspect if spotted.
As the operation progressed, the search expanded beyond local boundaries. While deputies initially thought Santiago was traveling on foot near John Champe High School, subsequent digital evidence gathered by the sheriff's office suggested he had departed Loudoun County.
Authorities have not yet released specific details concerning the initial emergency call or the sequence of events during the domestic disturbance. Following the intensive manhunt, the sheriff's office provided a public update confirming that Santiago had been found and questioned, though officials did not immediately announce whether formal arrests or criminal charges had been processed. The investigation remains active, with further updates anticipated from law enforcement.
