Smartphone brand iQOO is preparing to introduce its new Neo 12 series later this month, alongside the iQOO Pad Pro Mini tablet. Ahead of the official release in China, the company has begun teasing the device, officially confirming the display and design features of the upcoming smartphone.

Based on official teasers shared by iQOO on Weibo, the Neo 12 will feature a flat 2K OLED display framed by slim and uniform bezels. The front panel incorporates a centrally aligned hole-punch cutout to house the selfie camera.

iQOO has verified that the screen panel is provided by Chinese display manufacturer Visionox. The panel utilizes p-TSF technology-based luminescent materials, which the manufacturer states will decrease power consumption while enhancing color reproduction. For users focused on gaming and performance, the screen includes a 185Hz refresh rate designed to make scrolling, animations, and gaming more responsive than many existing premium devices. The company plans to release additional information regarding this display technology at a specialized briefing event.

Beyond the screen, iQOO has indicated hardware updates for the device. The Neo 12 is set to operate on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and will incorporate a custom Q3 gaming chip alongside a built-in active cooling fan and an Ice Dome active cooling system to manage thermal performance during extended use.

Industry reports indicate the smartphone may include a large battery supporting fast 100W wired charging, configuration options up to 16GB of RAM, and the Android 17 operating system upon release.

The iQOO Neo 12 is anticipated to debut in China later in October, with pre-orders currently available, though specific pricing, exact release dates, and international availability have not yet been finalized by the company.
